BOSTON!

So today is the first day of break, which would usually be awesome. On Friday, we all discussed our [presumably] exciting plans for the vacation, and yet, I found myself gaping in awe at all the people going to California, Italy, Switzerland, etc. Today, Saturday, my family traveled to Boston to go see certain colleges for my sister, who is a Junior and who thus needs to start thinking about these things. I'm usually excited about this sort of thing, as touring colleges is a fun thing to do. This trip, however, was not so.

First came the 4 hour drive to Stonehill College. I brought my walkman and the new My Chemical Romance album, and the soundtrack from Get Him To The Greek. And didn't touch them once.
My sister talks abnormally loud, which is why she is such a successful cheerleader (I guess...), but when we are two feet a way, and I'm a very claustrophobic and jumpy person, this was quite a bother.
I also tried to draw a bit, but the roads were WAY too bumpy.

After that joyous journey, we arrived at the school, and to my sister's surprise- it was a Catholic school.

I found it hysterical that she had no idea Stonehill was a Catholic college, so her expression when she saw the various crosses and whatnot around the campus was priceless. She then proceeds to say, "Wait a minute! Can I still attend this school if we aren't Catholic?"

1. Ofcourse you can. That's a stupid question.
2. ... We are Catholic...

But the campus itself was quite nice, it's a very small school, but the community is very easily accessible, and convenient.

On our way to the next campus, of Endicott College, we passed through SALEM!! This was particularly cool for me, because I'm secretly a witch and passed through without getting burned at the stake. (No just kidding... But they didn't detect that I'm a Power-Ranger, so that was pretty good).
As we progressed through the area, into a place called Beverly (I think...) The stores started having really clever names (which I can't recall, but they were pretty funny). Soon enough, however, they stopped having names at all. They were just named after what was in them (For example, "Bowling", "Books", "Candles", "Animal Supplies", etc.). This was just as amusing.

So then we go to the hotel, then to dinner, then back to the hotel to watch Due Date and 127 Hours (which I've already seen, but whatever... it was still really good). And tomorrow, we will embark on another near 7 hour journey in the car through Boston and back home. Wish me luck.

Superheroes!!

One mysterious english class I decided to draw myself as a superhero. I therefore came to the conclusion that the same should be done for all my friends. I'll keep doing this ... as long as I feel like :D

**NOTE** Some of these superheroes, and others I will upload on another blogposts, are actual superheroes but depicted as my friends. So don't be all "well i've already heard of that superhero so you're stupid blebleble" ahaha <3

First is FIONA!

fiona (aka Morpho-Asian) has the ability to not only be a-freaking-dorable, but to transform into either a giraffe or a panda! she can then reach really high places, digest bamboo, and a bunch of other.. stuff....!

Next is JULIE (whose background is also green... fail :D)

Julie (aka the pokemon master!) is exactly that- the master of all things pokemon. (this one's my favorite)

next is ISABELLE!

Isabelle (aka Canvas Catastrophe ;D or something..) has the ability to paint things on whatever and it will come alive and do stuff for her. she also has really awesome shoes :D

Next is me!!

Marta (aka... me...) has the power to turn stuff into pudding!! and be all cute and monkey like :3

neeeext is MAX!

Maximilian (aka Mayo Max) has the coolest powers I could think of: to summon mayo. Need I say more?

and last is RACHEL!!

Rachel (aka.... rachel...) is part icecream. and shoot icecream out of her eyes. ICECREAM ICECREAM ICECREAM ICECREAM ICECREAM :D she's got more liver than the rest of us !

so those are all the ones I felt like drawing for now... but fear not! more are on their way! maybe :D

PATRICE: THE MOVIE

In our history class a few days ago, we had to get into partnerships and come up with a film plot summary thing for a movie about King Leopold and the Free Congo State in the early 1900's (I think that's when it was. I'm not entirely sure). Well, instead of this, Isabelle and I created....... a masterpiece! This is our story, and the title of it all is...

How epic is that? Anyways...

This story revolves around a British missionary, whose name is Arthur Kirkland (Sound familiar, Hetalia fans?? heeeeh?!). Arthur travels to the Congo to try to convert some of the people to Christianity. This part of the movie will be kindof like avatar, where he explores the natives, their rituals, and their culture. They're just not big blue aliens.

During this portion of the movie, he falls in love with a charming girl named Patrice (originally this character was to be named Allouette). Patrice, however, was the slave of a Belgian man (sadness). Throughout the duration of his stay, Arthur sees how horrible the conditions are in the congo, (what with the lack of human rights, extreme kleptocracy, and whatever else we heard about) and how it's all happening right under King Leopold's (Belgium) nose! He is determined to do something about this.

Arthur returns to Europe to settle the matter among parliament, but as soon as he starts protesting, he gets thrown in jail. He skillfully and dramatically breaks out of prison though...

After this streak of misfortune, Arthur decides to take the direct approach and confront his brother, Geoffery, who holds a powerful position in the British Parliament. Geoffery, however, has a different idea for a solution to the problems of the Congo (while Arthur wants Britain to act alone, Geoffery thinks they should make aliances with other countries and use this force to overtake the Congo). So after much dramatic screaming behind closed doors, and tension between two close brothers......

Geoffery convinces the rest of Parliament to pass a super special secret I don't even know what to call it, that will begin the fixing of the Congo immediately. Arthur is really happy about this! :D

He decides to leave his girlfriend, Olive, who I've neglected to mention until now (but there'll be big tension between them too in the dramatic parts), and return to the Congo to try and reunite with Patrice! Once he arrives, however, he finds Patrice is dead, and the film will end with him kneeling over her grave screaming "NOOOOOO" to the sky. The message is that, in life, you pay for everything. Or something.

Oh yeah.
And it's a musical.

Reasons I'm a Dork O:

I'm starting to believe my laziness really is chronic. So to adjust this matter, I'll start trying to post every day again (like that's going to last a long time...) but anyways...

I am a complete dork and nerd and all that good stuff. You may try to convince me otherwise, but I often try to suppress my weirdness for the most part :D There are plenty of examples of my dorky state!

1. Whenever I'm typing to anybody, I use excessive and elaborate emoticons (。・ε・。)
2. I own a Japanese keyboard which enables me to do this! (and a chinese one too!)
3. I wear glasses, not to look cool, but because I'm actually nearsighted O:

4. I watch cartoons (such as The Misadventures of Flapjack, Adventure Time with Finn and Jake, Johnny Bravo, Pokemon, etc.)
4 1/2 (edit). I named my Cat after the cartoon (his name is Flapjack :D)
5. I have a sizeable collection of pokemon cards
6. I take chinese.

7. I always have around 83 cents in my pocket. You never know when you will need around 83 cents.
8. I have always dreamed of getting the Triforce and/or the Dark Mark tattooed to my body O___O
9. I eat seaweed plain.
10. I play like 7 instruments

11. I have a blog (dur)
12. My favorite animal is a combination of an octopus and a cat (dur again)
13. My favorite drinks are Vanilla Coke, Strawberry Milk, and Fruit Punch (I'm not sure why they make me dorky... people just think it's weird O: )

14. I play super smash bros on a regular basis o:
15. As well as other online RPG/MMORPGs (Flyff, Maplestory, etc.)
16. I want to go to art school, and then be an animator :D

ahm yeah so that's all I can think of right now... i'll make another post if I think of more :D

Organization is Something I Rarely Resort To

and it's still not going to happen anytime soon!

I currently am in the best mood ever. But I won't say why because it'd take me typing 3 pages of complete gibberish and utter awesomeness!

This is what happens when I don't pre-plan my posts before I write them, I just end up spewing nonsense onto the screen :D
So today, we had an early release because of the "snow" (it really didn't end up snowing all that much, which makes me laugh soooo hard).
We had a pokernight, but nobody felt like going because of the snow (thats them vvv)

Yeah so instead of having that lovely crew with us, just Andrew Rebecca and I went. I thought it was fun not having 12 for a chance, though it didn't really feel like pokernight so it wasn't as fun :D
I give today 3.34 stars o: it was pretty uneventful.

I don't know what else to say... this was a waste of a post...

Spring, please come fast ):
